Stranded.

Peterborough:

I sort of woke up in a mess even though I tried to go to sleep early to anticipate an early arrival by my parents. I think it doesn't matter though cause everytime they come to pick me up I always seem to be distracted with something instead of packing to get ready to go. This time around I woke up really early like 08:00 hours or so. Had to snooze my cell phone alarm a couple times mind you. The original plan was for my father to come up around 11:00 so I figure I had time to blow. So I had a shower, made some toast for breakfast, chatted on the computer some more, talked with the roomates. I was extremely distracted with new Java applications and games that I got for my cell phone... ringtones too. There was the slight chance that I would have to spend Saturday in Peterborough too because after that snowstorm I described in the previous post the roads were snow packed and icey.

My dad then informs me that he's coming for 13:00 hours, so I'm in crazy packing mode at this point cause I still have my computer to do... but I had a download queue on the newsgroup that needed to be finished. But I thought fuck it I'll just get it another time. So as I dismantle my computer bit by bit, I have a swiffer in reaching distance to dust off each component, which probably hasn't moved since I re-arranged my room a long while ago. I'm also taking breaks to play with this stupid cardboard tube that I obtained as a result of finishing a roll of tin foil. It was noticed right away that this cardboard weapon really sting upon impact. Me and Cedric get quite a laugh at it describing hypothecial gang brawl situations where I would show up with this cardboard tube. "Honestly, who whacks people with a cardboard tube?" Says the victim of my thrashing.

When my father arrives I kinda wasn't completely ready. I was still stuffing wires and stuff into boxes. Had to make sure I took everything to entertain me this reading week and so that I can actually get some work done. But I finally was able to get everything in. Said goodbyes to the roomates and was off to Oshawa. On the way there it was so sunny out, I was missing my Oakleys. I was sort of dozing off in the car, trying to make conversations with my dad so he doesn't think I'm sleeping. Even though it's obvious I am sleeping. Listening to Death Cab For Cutie, sun baking on the lightly snow covered roads. Country side rolling by. How could I not enjoy the moment and doze off in relaxment?

But the time finally came when we pulled into the driveway. Home at last, and I'll be here for a week. Thank God.

Ok well Part 2, Oshawa, will be added in tomorrow morning. Sometime.

Peace.
