King Of Concrete.
Please note that I just added in the second part to Chaps. I kinda had to step in and write up my Tuesday and I'll finish Part 3 another time. It would be so much easier if I had a laptop and I could just type out stuff on the go while either riding the bus or just chilling. Could take it anywhere. But I don't have one and so I have to suffer through the midnight hours to do these entries. I love it! Right now i'm in my room with the window wide open, even though it's pretty much a blizzard outside. My fucking roomates keep smoking cigarettes in the house now and it irritates my eyes. Kinda like when I get back from the bars. My eyes are feeling a little better. But I'm still sort of pissed.
Tuesday is sort of a slow day for me. I don't have any classes to attend so I end up just sitting by my computer in my boxers looking up the latest stories on the internet. Such as shoutwire, some GameSpy newsletters on video games, I check out joystiq, and DSFanboy. And some other stuff as well, like the comics, as you see on the side there, and just whatever else comes my way. I also start up the movie Wallstreet, which we had to watch for my business 410 class. Cedric comes up to me in the middle of it asking for Jarhead. Good movie choice. And he takes the DVD downstairs. After the movie is finished it's about 15:00 hours. I call up Mario Norman, the secretary of the buisness administraion office. "Trent University, please speak the name of the perso-"
"Marion Norman." I said.
"I'm sorry, I couldn't quite understand that. Please spe-"
"Mar-ion Nor-man" I said slowly.
Fucking stupid voice recognition shit.
"Thank you. Transfering your call to-Marion Norman-extention 1357.
"Business administraion."
"Hi, how late is your office open?"
"We close at 4:30."
"Ok thank you."
I better get my stuff ready, I gotta pick up the required readings for Wednesday's class. I head downstairs and see Cedric watching Jarhead. "Good movie eh?" I asked. "Yeah man, I like it, I don't know why Scott hates on it so much." The movie froze. Cedric gets a puzzled look on his face. We then try to fool around with the stupid DVD player and got it going again. "That was weird I said." I then realized that I'll miss the bus, so I sprung upstairs to get all my stuff and head for the bus.
As i'm running for the bus stop the snow gets more and more furious. Blowing right into my eyes as I try to jog against the wind. I squint my eyes to protect them, but the snow is really really heavy. I finally get to the stop just as the bus pulls up, I huff and puff as I walk up the stairs and show him my ID. I sit down near the back and notice that the windows are slighty open, allowing bits of snowflakes drift in and settle on the orange plastic seats below.
I turn on my MD player and kinda just catch my breath as the bus treads towards the school.
Death From Above 1979 - Little Girl
I walk around campus paying attention to nobody, totally into the music I'm listening too. Which is the entire DFA1979 album. I get to Gzowski college and walk up the stairs towards the business admin office. "Is this the required readings for 410?" I ask. "I don't know, I just put papers in the boxes when people tell me to." She replied. I pick out some papers and stuff them into my bag. I leave the office and stop in the mens washroom. Two urinals are situated, one very low to the ground, meant for short short people, the other sort of the standard height. I at first go to the smaller of the two, but then switch. My eyes gaze into the chrome above the ceramics which distorts my face. I make out two very tired eyes and think that somehow I'm slowly becoming less human. As I wash my hands I stare into the mirror and note that I look ok. As I do this someone is walking into the washroom with a huge snake tattoo on his arm. I turn around and walk out the door.
Death From Above 1979 - You're A Woman I'm A Machine
I walk back to the library to catch the bus. I'm getting sick of the snow so I go the long way through the Otonabee College building. I dart my eyes back and forth as I walk down the hall. Concrete pillars seem out of place in this somewhat modernized building. I notice people walking with laptops in carrying cases and envy them. When I finally do get to the bus stop there is a bus marked "SPECIAL" waiting. I get on it right away before it could think of pulling away. "Is this the Trent Direct?" I ask. "Yeah. It's the Trent Direct." The bus driver responds. He probably loves answering that question.
The Offspring - Time To Relax/Nitro (Youth Energy)
I call up my bank to check my account, and to my surprise OSAP actually went in! So I call up Kelly to see if he wants to hit up some Subway. "Sorry man, just on my way to class. Is everything ok?"
"Yeah everything is fine."
"Ok, you sure? You sound different?"
"I do?"
"Yeah usually you give me the Patches O'Houlihan voice.
"Oh ya, well, not this time." I say laughing. He keeps asking me if everything is alright when I call him. Ever since the time I called him when I had to tell him about Aidan and broke down crying. I look at my other cell phone lists. Hmm, should I call her? Naw that would seem kind of stupid. I decide to ride this thing downtown.
The Offspring - Genocide
I step off the bus and look left and right. I'm downtown now, and it's starting to snow lighter than before. I walk past the old homeless people with hats stuck out. I don't have any change to give them. I go to Bank of Montreal and take out $100 dollars. Hit up Dixon's bookstore to check out the comics. I take a Hellboy and a very new Star Wars series called "Knights of the old Republic" got the first issue. "You don't have the first one of this Hellboy one do you?"
"No, we don't, probably sold out."
"Could you back order it? Or is that not possible."
He doesn't really answer yes or no, just says it's difficult to know which titles will be popular.
So I leave, check out some more stores downtown, and then make my way home. I walk by the Night Kitchen, which was a big mistake. I could smell the beautiful pizza way before even getting near the place. I had to go in. I order a plain pepperoni and sit down to enjoy it. My MD player is on the last song in The Offsping album, which is dead space between the last track and the secret song. So it's dead silence. I don't want to change it cause I want to eat the pizza. After I finish and get going I let it play Ixnay on the Hombre.
When I get home I give Adam all the money that I owed him from the magic cards and cable bills. I'm left with about $20 after it all. "Hey did you want to go grocery shopping?" I asked. Adam smiles and nods "I was going to ask you the same thing guy."
Ok, I know that I haven't finished the Chaps storyline, but I need to give this story a break as well cause It's 03:00 hours, and I have a class early morning. So I'll add Chaps (Part 3) and King of Concrete (Part 2) tomorrow. I just hope nothing fucking interesting happens on Wednesday during the day. Sorry about the double post, I know it's a lot of reading!
Peace.
